Campus Movie Fest is coming to Goldsmiths

Campus MovieFest is a travelling film festival that gives students from US and UK universities the opportunity to make a 5 minute short film in any genre in a week- and they are coming to Goldsmiths on Wednesday, November 12. Entry in the festival is free to students from any department, with or without experience, and the necessary equipment – a camera and a laptop with editing software- will also be made available by the organisers. There will also be prizes for the best films, including an Elfenworks Social Justice Category for films highlighting social issues. You can sign up online here and find more information on the website of the festival.
Phd by Design starts tomorrow
“Phd by Design: The messiness of practice-based research” is a conference discussing and working through the topical issues of conducting a practice-based Phd in Design, hosted by the Design Department at Goldsmiths. We have written about it before, but it’s now time to remind you that it’s starting tomorrow! You can read a schedule of the event here, or download a full program here.
Keynote speakers are Jennifer Gabrys (Goldsmiths), Jane Harris (London College of Fashion), Jon Rogers (University of Dundee) and Teal Triggs from the Royal College of Art. Don’t forget that the conference also includes a free open lecture with Professor Bill Gaver from the Interaction Research Studio.
