Goldsmiths tutors from the Design, Art and Computing departments have teamed up to manufacture personal protective equipment (PPE) for NHS and social care staff during the current COVID-19 epidemic.
This collaborative project aims to produce an open source design face visor in large quantities to help tackle the shortage of PPE items. Goldsmiths staff are using the university’s equipment on campus (while adhering to social distancing rules) to make the visors, as well as 3D printers in their own homes. Find out more about the initiative from the Goldsmiths website.
The team is now crowdfunding to cover the costs of the necessary materials; you can donate on Crowdfunder until 22 May.
