A new academic year has started, with a new class of postgraduate students beginning their studies at Goldsmiths. MA Fashion course leader Ruby Hoette welcomed the new students with an MA Design Intro project, together with Katherine May and John Backwell, and she sent us word on how it went:

“The students were asked to bring an object with some special meaning or significance to them. In small groups, they introduced themselves using the object as a starting point and an insight into their previous experience, ideas and hopes expectations for their MA at Goldsmiths.” Continue reading “MA Design Intro for new students”

The Postgraduate Design show for this year, which ended on the 17th of September, took place in a very unique and unusual location for an exhibition, the basement of Shoreditch Town Hall. If you want to know how the graduates managed to make the place their own, we have uploaded a few photos of the show’s set-up on our Facebook page (click here).

We also have for you a few images of the work displays from MA Fashion students, courtesy of Ruth Jacob, who was on the course herself:

Were you at the show? Did you take photos? What did you think of the exhibition? We would love to hear how “NOT THIS” looked through your eyes. Send us any thoughts or images at n.barbu[at]gold.ac.uk.
