Silent Auction for charity featuring work from Goldsmiths designers

On 2 September, a silent auction of artwork will take place in the 310 New Cross Road exhibition space at SE14 6AF, open to the public between 10 am- 5 pm. The purpose of the auction is to raise funds for EduHaitian, a small charity supporting children’s education in Haiti, c0-founded and run by Olivia Owen, recent Goldsmiths International Studies graduate.

“EduHaitian’s mission is to give vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Haiti a chance to receive education and schooling through an established programme of sponsorships. Since 2011, EduHaitian has supported 47 children through private funding, fundraised entirely from our voluntary efforts. For each £250 raised, another child will join our programme from September. The cost is inclusive of tuition, locally sourced and brought uniforms, books, stationary and any further tuition required to bring in meet the education needs of each child.”

The exhibition will include work from Goldsmiths design students and recent graduates and features extracts of design processes, sketches, preliminary research, final pieces, or example of side practices that informs our design practice (photography, illustration, writing, etc).
