On 19- 20 October, Goldsmiths will be hosting the Mayor of London’s ‘Arrival’ project, which celebrates migration to London since the Windrush in 1948. Goldsmiths Design lecturer Rose Sinclair will participate in two of the events taking place:
20 Oct, 12 pm
Join Rose for an afternoon of exploring the legacy of Dorcas societies. Members of Dorcas societies will share their memories and fabrics in an informal setting over teas and coffees.
20 oct, 4 pm
Join Goldsmiths researchers and community groups for a bake sale with a difference. Rose Sinclair will discuss how she uses Caribbean cakes to spark conversations in her Caribbean front room textile installations.
