Alumnus Evan Boehm worked on Google’s “Made with Code”

The purpose of Google’s “Made with Code” is to encourage young girls to get into coding, and we were happy to hear that Evan Boehm, an alumnus of our MA in Design: Critical Practice, was involved in creating the website and light installation programme for the project’s holidays challenge: “For the 92nd Annual National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the President’s Park in Washington, on December 4th, young girls were able to code their own Christmas tree lighting design which was shown on the 56 Christmas trees in front of The White House.” Evan is a Director at Nexus Interactive Arts, and you can read more about their work on this project and Evan’s involvement in particular on their website.

And, of course, don’t forget to see the Made with Code website for yourself and read coverage of the project on TechCrunch and Engadget.  By the way, this is not the first time that Evan is featured on the Design blog: you can (re-)read an interview with him here.
