What kind of designer are you?

I’m a multidisciplinary designer interested in projects that create awareness and discussion around social and environmental issues. I use a wide variety of materials and techniques to meet whatever concept I am working on.

What kind of work have you designed during this program period?

I have been developing prototypes for a wind reactive sculpture to be displayed at an event later this year as well as bits of other projects including lasercut wood marquetry.

What is your general opinion of this pilot program?

It’s been great to be able to come back to use the workshops. There is a wide variety of equipment that is useful for experimentation and prototyping. The staff are helpful and it’s always great to meet current students and see what they’re up to. I don’t want to leave now.

Which piece of equipment or facility have you been using the most?

Metalwork and lasercutting.

Would you apply again?

Yes.

Would you recommend the program to other graduates?

Yes.
